MEC Ottawa Race Series
Even though the snow is gone and the skiing has stopped, MEC has some incredible events for you up in Gatineau Park this summer.
What better way to do some off-season training than to have a bit of an inter-club friendly competition?! We all knowKanata/Chelsea/Gatineau/Ottawa has one ski club that is a cut above the rest, but now is the time to prove it’s yours. We’ve got sportstats timing, double black diamond hill climbs, and free bananas and bragging rights at the finish.
MEC’s next trail race is coming up in Gatineau on July 10th and is aptly named “Heggtveits Revenge“. The 9k distance will be a challenge for any athlete as you run (or attempt to run) up Heggtveit’s double black diamond hill. Race entry is typically $15 but if you follow this link you can sign up for ANY distance for just $12.50 with the ski club discount !
When you sign up for the race, just make sure to put your ski club in the “Club Affiliation” section so that we can add you to your respective club.
