General Information

We offer the Adult Novice program for those with little or no ski experience. Sessions focus on classic technique and include tips on clothing and waxing. The Adult Intemediate lessons require a season or two of experience and cover both classic and skate techniques. Our Intermediate Touring program is a Saturday morning tour to various locations in Gatineau Park each week. Skiers will enjoy a variety of terrain and benefit from pointers on classic and skating technique. Teenagers are welcome in any of these programs.

When and Where?

The Novice and Intermediate lesson groups meets at the Bonnenfant Centre Saturdays from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. The Intermediate Touring group meet at the Mlacak Centre parking lot in Kanata at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays and travels to Gatineau Park for a 2-hour outing, more or less, depending on snow conditions and weather. You can select your own quitting time if you bring your own transportation. Whether you are training for your next loppet, want some pointers, or just want some company while you ski this may be the program for you. Better yet bring along a friend or family member.

Wondering which program is right for you? For answers to this and related questions please contact Adult Novice instructor Richard Batty (vicepresident@kanatanordic.ca) or Adult Touring leader Dena Schanzer (touring@kanatanordic.ca).
