Dec. 29 – Snow Finally! WCParks open for skiing

At 401 Corkstown, all trails rolled at least twice, sometimes 3 times. TCT rolled once. Training area west of WCParks parking rolled once. Training area between lit ring and entrance road rolled once. JR/BR trails rolled at least twice. Rolled trails are packed but a bit uneven in places, good for both skating and classic, we will follow up with the groomer shortly.

There is currently no connecting trail to campground at 411 Corkstown, trail 2 is blocked by a pond. Access from P3, probably the best bet is to ” backcountry” from the walking path ( 11) up trail 2 to the campground.

At 411 Corkstown trails 3, 4, 6 to the junction of 12 and trail 1 are all groomed for skating, plus the little side trails 6a thru 6d and 3b. Basically we have 4km groomed. fair to good conditions. With snowfall in excess of 25 cm surfaces are relatively soft.

At 411 trails 7,8,9 and 12 below the ridge, have been driven over and packed 2 skidoos wide, good enough for classic, but no trackset.
