General Meeting of the membership, Wed. Nov. 2, 2016 at 7:00pm

Kanata Nordic proposed to hire a full-time club coach, on a contract basis, starting this coming season. Article 4.4 of our bylaws state that “any proposed expenditures that would exceed $5,000 shall be approved in advance by the membership at a General Meeting”. Because the coach’s contract value would exceed this limit, the Executive has organized a General Meeting. Support Local Ski Club: Nakkertok could win $250K for snowmaking that would support the whole region!

Nakkertok submitted an application to the Kraft Heinz Project Play contest (www.kraftheinzprojectplay.com) to seek funding to support snowmaking at Nakkertok South and have been named on of four finalists from 821 applicants from across the country. As a finalist, Nakkertok is now eligible to receive $20,000 to support the deployment of snowmaking at Nakkertok South and is also able to compete for the Grand Prize of $250,000. 2016 Chelsea Cookie Beiner

This coming Saturday March 5 is the Cookie Beiner at the Chelsea Nordiq. All advanced skiers are invited to take part in this fun cookie loving ski-venture in the Gatineau Park. Feb 6, 2016 All Learn to Ski Programs at Wesley Clover Parks are CANCELLED

Hello BR, JR and Dyna Parents After a trip back from Wesley Clover Parks,  the Club has decided that all Learn to Ski classes for Sat Feb 6 2016 are  cancelled due to unsafe conditions.   The heavy rain earlier in the week, followed by the cooler temperature, had turned the whole of  WCParks into a sheet of ice.   All  trails and fields leading from 401 Corkstown Road are CLOSED for skiing. Pick-Up your Kanata Nordic Season Passes 

All Kanata Nordic members get a season pass for the 2015/16 season as part of their membership. If you weren't able to pick up your 2015/16 Kanata Nordic Ski pass please contact info@kanatanordic.ca to arrange pick up.  This season all registered members aged 13+ will receive a season ski pass and should have it visible when skiing our trails at Wesley Clover Parks (WCParks). Non-members are welcome to ski the trails by buying a day pass at the trailhead.  More
