New policy on Dogs on the Kanata Nordic Ski Club Trails

Dogs are not permitted on Kanata Nordic's cross-country ski or snowshoe trails. They compromise the safety of skiers on the trails and in parking lots, impair grooming quality, leave waste on the trails and conflict with the animal policy of one of our key land partners. The only exception to this policy is for dogs fully certified as sight or support assistance dogs in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. Proposed Updates to Kanata Nordic Bylaws

Please find a copy of the proposed changes to the Kanata Nordic Constitution and Bylaws being proposed by the 2022-2023 Executive Committee to align the existing documents to Ontario's new Not-for-Profit Corporations Act and integrate past Special Motions into the text of the bylaws. New Trial Trail

We're launching an experiment!Kanata Nordic is reaching out to the local community by grooming the National Capital Commission (NCC)' 5.5 km Watts Creek Pathway from where it intersects with Corkstown Rd. at Moodie Dr. to March Rd. Coaching course – free to all leaders

All on-snow leaders should have at least a basic level of training. To that end, Kanata Nordic is offering a certified Community Coaching course, from Cross-Country Ski de fond Canada. It's free to any volunteers who are leading or assisting this season. The course is being hosted at Nakkertok South, Saturday Nov. 24 from 12:30 - 6:30pm and Sunday Nov. 25 from 12:00 - 6:00pm.
